video cards

hey folks, IM looking to buy a new graphics card. I dont want anyting special.
I saw a Radeon saphire 128 for around $50. What do ya think.

My secondary hard drive shit out on me yesterday :cry: I was able to save years of MP3s before it gave up the ghost but it was a close one.

I still have a stack of MP3 CDs I made back in the Napster days. CPRMan should be able to tell you abut a good video card,, he is into all that game stuff.

I've got an asylum 256mb it works great and it was cheap as hell like 75$ at frys

Yeah im not a big gammer but I do like to play movies...
256 is pretty nice, just not looking to spend more than $50

For videos and even video games, the speed of the card is more important than the memory. I don't know what card I got, but it's fast and it has 256 MB so I have no problems at all. I know it is an ATI, but I am not sure the model #.

Madbrown is right on about the speed. Try to find one that uses DDR ram and dont go less than 128, unless you dont mind "jerky" video.
