Hi I am looking for someone who fixes and repairs sea doo's in the Seattle Area. Anyone who can work from their garage or my garage to help fix my sea doo, Let me know how much you charge per hour. Trying to avoid getting raped by the only 3 dealers in this area. Need to rebuild my carbs on a 1995 Sea Doo XP 720 cc and already bought the two carb rebuild kits?

Joel,
Do you know Norm at Tacoma Motor Sports? Give him a call. He does good work. Jay down here in Vancouver is real good with the 720 engine. He raced one last year in the 800 class.

Im half tempted to say that I would rebuild your carbs for you...
I live in Lake Stevens

Is that the only thing wrong with it?

A carb is a carb, if you can do one you can do them all. If I was going to re-build a set of carbs I would opt for a set of new needles & seats as well.

Of course it is, Remember Joe, I had that seadoo for a while, the hardest part of working on the carbs was getting the intake manifold off in that cramped space (but easier than just taking the carb off).

Hi,

Lake Stevens is not that far from me, I am in Mountlake Terrace. Here is the story:

This last July 4th camping at Sun Lakes we made a horrible STUPID mistake- we forgot to plug in the drain on the second day. About 3 hrs later my friend had the ski and was getting towed back to the beach, I opened the cover and water was about level with the top of the engine block. When I took it home I took out the plugs and cranked as much water out as I could, I spayed in some WD40, and starter fluid, put in some new plugs and after a few hours I was able to get it started, I took it down to Lk Wash and it went for about 3 minitues before bogging down then I had to swim it back to shore, I had also removed the fuel tank and emptied out all the fuel just in case there was any water left in the tank, so now I am able to get it started on land (after several spays of starter fluid and it stays on for about 30 seconds then dies). Even before the sinkage I would always have to use a little starter spray to get it started, so I think it needs a rebuild ,but I am not 100% sure. I just bought this sea doo early summer and do not work on engines a lot, I bought a manual but I learn a lot better by working with someone who knows what there doing and watching rather than reading a manual. Plus I am probably missing some of the important tools to make the rebuild since my tools consist of a $29 sears wrench set. :? Let me know if you are still interested in helping me, I would be happy to pay for your time. My cell is 206-240-5334 leave a message

Thanks
Joel
