On the left of your screen, you will see a box that says "CHAT"
enter your user name and password and click "Enter Chat'
You may be asked a question "Do you accept IRC link?"
Click "Yes"
(This is a site link. It won't be stored on your computer.)
Once in chat...
to see the bar where you type your live messages, you may need to lower your taskbar.
Just move your mouse down to the line until you see the up/down arrows. left click... hold, and drag down.
Easier way to get into chat (this will be stored on your computer)
goto www.mIRC.com and download mIRC.
Look at the left side of your mIRC box
Under "Connect", click on "Add"
Add "Chaster: Random server
fill in other info
"full name"
"e-mail address"
"Nickname"
"alternate Nick" (optional)
Under "Options", make sure the 3rd box down is the only one checked, and the port# is 6667
Under "Perform", make sure the box is checked and the network says "All Networks"
In the box type in...
/join #jetskinews
/ns "your password" "your e-mail address"
/ns identify "your password"
DON'T USE THE QUOTES!!!!
Under "Identity" type "your nickname"
and port 113
make sure the first 2 boxes are checked
Also...
DOn'T REGISTER YOUR mIRC!!! You don't need to!!!
any questions... PM a Moderator, and we'll walk you through it.
