Well I finally got my used jetski (js550) all dialed in! I spent this weekend rebuilding the Carb, cleaning hull(inside/out), lubricating, fixing some wiring, and removing/installing new cockpit mats/turf. What a pain in the arse that is, I hope I never have to remove an old set of turf again
I figure I will try to get off work early enough to get home and take my ski to the Willamette near Clackamas and try it out :D
Any words of wisdom for someone on their first attempt on a standup ski?

Eat your Wheaties......you're gonna get a workout.

Tylenol will be your friend on Tuesday.

When you finally get up on it, that grin on your face will be a mile wide......watch for bugs!

Take extra fuel - you won't want to quit till dark.

Have fun - the weather will be awesome for riding.

HAve fun!!!!!
A good point to remember......................
When you rebuild your ski or just parts of it........dont go any further from shore than you want to swim until you are sure the ski wont quit on you. Especially if you are above the falls!
The Willamette moves faster than you think when your are just floating there........
Have fun and I would recommend you bring a friend.

try doing a good stretch before you go out, mainly your legs and shoulder area...

You'll know why on tuesday ;)
