steering mod for kawasaki stand up skies

In the past year I have had quite a few people with kawasaki stand up skies ask about doing my steering mod.Unfortunately the mod was a lot more difficult than the sit down or jet boat installation and I did not want to leave anything to chance so I was not offering this for stand up skies unless I did the installation myself, this was obviously a problem as most people were not in my location. I now have a process where I can do the mod and make it easy for the owner to install. It does however require shipping me the nozzle and ride plate, so that I can do the mod and ship it back. I actually purchased two different stand up skies and cut out the pump section of each hull design so that I could use that as a jig to ensure everything was set up properly. So two brave jetskis gave their lives for this project LOL

That's what I would call a capital investment. Hopefully, you got your money back when you sold the parts you didn't need!

Jeff,
I'll be installing the CobraJet this weekend, will submit the review after the February 5 Freerida - look for it about February 7th or so.

I hope you have your engine all taken care of.You people are pretty brave to be riding in the cold ocean this time of year, brrrrrrrrr,, I am spoiled if the water is below 60 im out , but we can't wear wet suits because the air is too hot and you die if you stay out of the water with one on, I have one but it is just too hot.

I am looking for a volunteer, some one with a couple years experience minimum on a stand up who currently owns a 550 or 650 kaw, and is willing to let me donate a steering unit for their ski in exchange for testing it and giving me feed back, here is the important part, must be over 21 own the ski and live in the tampa bay area, I will do the install at my shop. Hey you only live once , preferably someone who is totally wild and crazy on the ski. Jeff@cobrajetsteering.com

The stand up mod requires you to ship me the nozzle and a stock ride plate, I do the mod and ship it back to you and I pay the return shipping in the cont U S ,the price is 129 plus what ever it costs you to send me the parts. Because of clearance issues I really insist on doing it on my jigs to be sure it clears. THIS is why I did not offer the stand up steering previously without actually having the ski on hand. With these jigs I can place everything on a actual hull and be sure it is all set up properly. I make my living basically doing jet boats that really keeps me busy, but I do the jet skis as more of a labor of love. I know what a huge difference this makes on the jet skis handling performance and everyone who has it goes wild over it, trust me it really isn't about off power steering it is about all speed handling, the better you are with a ski the more you can do. On stand up skies it is pretty wild and not for beginners because when you turn the steering it acts instantly so you don't need to turn the bars much at all , it is totally different handling than what you are accustom to. And you can always feel the water because it connects.
