Who is riding what?

Lets have everyone list what boat they're cruzing on.
I have a superjet and I mostly freeride, or in otherwords I try to do tricks but also tool around on my standup.
What do you ride and why?

I have a 96 SPX (for sale too!), and I race a 98 SPX and joe's XPL, and sometimes Ryells XPL or Joe's RXX and sometime even Ryells RXX.

I'm kinda sound like a boat whore :P

I used to ride a 99 GP 800R when it didint have a toasted ring.
Now i ride a built 550 which I barrow from a friend, and when Chris lets me i ride his SJ

Just like Jay, I too ride a 96 SPX.

Why??? Hmmm... good question. Well, I bought it at the end of 96, and had it ever since. True it needs some work (since it's not quite in running condition right now).

"Why not buy a new one", you may ask? Well, the answer is simple. What would you rather spend? $700 for an engine rebuild for a ski with an impecable body, or over $7000 for a new ski? With my bills, the less I have to spend, the better.

More speed? Why? I like to do tricks on mine more than race it. maybe I'll supe it up a bit... starting off with removing the baffels in the exhaust.

Baffels? Baffles? However you spell it, they rob horsepower!

Gene, I needed a rebuild on my SPX so I did a few mods to it and it is just as fast as an 800 c.c. now.

Jay is going to have to get his SPX out in the ocean. That light ski should fly! Gene, you should pic up a beater superjet. If you like to do tricks you will dig the SJ and they are cheap.

Maybe later on Joe. For now, I'll stick with what I have (since my bills would rather have me have it that way... LOL). If I do buy another ski, I'll still keep the SPX as well. The body and every other component is in sound shape.

Jay, yeah, Once I get my engine rebuilt, I too plan to do a little modifications to it (starting with which I stated above).

I ride a 1990 super jet, that is fully freerided up... re-inforced, scupper, joe kenney engine keepers, modified freeride hood, shortened pole -2" 08 UMI bars, redneck quick steering, and a lovely EVIL paint scheme... :P

You can add plenty of power without breaking stuff. When you get into ported cases, stroker cranks, & big bore engines you tend to break stuff. Limited class mods should keep you running like Head, pipe, MSD CDI. Add those three items to your SJ and it will be a killer wake up call without killing your engine.

96 Polaris Hurricane - slightly modified. Ever since I rode a blaster, I wanted poaris to build a sport boat, when they did, I got the 1st one off the truck in the northwest. Porpoises like no other boat I have ever ridden, took 2 years just to get that under control. But that things rails hard enough to drag your elbows in the water. Polaris Hurricane, - the seat is purely cosmetic.

92 Yamaha superjet - also slightly modified. Killer candy purple paint (worth at least a mile an hour!!) sport class is going away, dont want a bigger couch, got a killer deal on the Purple Nurple. Way more fun than sitting.

Someday - 800SXR - will be slightly modified ;)

Note that all my skis are named after Jamiroquai songs (In France it's mandatory to name any vessel), gave my previous skis funky names like "King for a day", "Cosmic Girl", "Alright", "Canned heat", "Deeper Underground" and one that I am saving, "Travelling without moving", because in a motored vehicle, we are travelling but we ar not moving.

"Feels so good" : 2003 SXR, FPP, Novi 48 XRs on M16s/stock petals, R&D head, AC SJ pole, UMI, timing advance, R&D plate and grate,R Pot drop nozzle and tabs, Skat pump, R Pot drop, AP lifters, AP chin pad, finished building it, waiting to be able to tune it.

"Blow your mind" : 2003 STXR, UMI fat and Renthal tapered bars, Jet Trim seat, Skat pump, R&D sponsons, grate and plate, R Pot drop nozzle, after borrowing Supersonic's engine for 2003 (was a solid 68 with that engine), I am building the STXR's stock, still brand new engine with FPP triples, Kawi/FPP CDI. 48XRs, R&D heads, M16s.

There's a few guys I know of looking for squarenose superjets, post um if you got um!

I'm not riding yet, but will be next season. my starter ski is a 1980 Kawasaki JS440. It has a Jetlyne pump nozzle, Jetlyne handle bars, and a Westcoast intake grate. Not a whole lot of mods yet but they will come as the wallet allows.

I sold my 750X2 for parts, and I sold the 550 custom ski also... I want a Polaris MX140 for Christmas SANTA!!!

Since my last post, I now have a 98 XPL twin piped limited race boat..........ZOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rode a Kawasaki STX-12F all last summer and am purchasing an STX-15F for this year. Absolutely loved the 12F and can't wait for the warm weather to come back and use the 15F.

If you have a 73 400 Kaw, it is a WSAA or WSAB, not a JS400. It became JS400 in '75. A '73 would be the first year of production, with a lima bean green color. A true collector's item. :D

Wow! Some of you got alot of toys!! I only have one :( But I LOVE IT TO DEATH!! Such a rush! I can just imagine what some of the more powerful skis are like to be on. I bought a '94 Yamaha PRO VXR 700 last summer. I saw some skis at the lake one day and just had to have one! Picked mine up two weeks later. I took my cousin out and she bought one the next week. We have lotsa fun!

I had three VXR's. I even have one right now I am parting out. After you get on a ski with more power you will want some more. It's kinda like crack in a way, more more more. Welcome to the site.

A 1980 JS440, I know its a moped, but its my first ski. I will probley move to a Superjet sometime this summer though.
