I am new too PWCs and have a few questions, I am mechanically inclined and service all my own cars:
1) Which oil should I use for my 1997 GTX. There is a sticker that says it can not be TC-W3, TC-W2, etc etc.. I purchased some oil that states it is for Seadoos specifically. I am not sure of the oil used in it before sythetic or regular.
2) I made a big mistake the other day(I am sure we all do it once), and forgot to plug the hull plugs in. She did take on some water but it did not submerge the engine, but prob was around the bottom end of the engine-near the top of the battery. I drained all the water out and flush with fresh water and let air dry. It does run fine with no noticeable problems. Anything else I should check? I read an article on seadoo.net about drying and re-lubbing the engine-is that required?
3)Not sure if this has to do with 2 but my maint. required light is flashing after inserting the key. The ski now has 126.5 hours on it. What should I check and how do I reset it?
Thank you guys very much.
