Criviere 08-06-2007, 12:31 PM Hi. I'm interested in purchasing a jet ski with in the coming month, So I need to know what is the best jet ski for it's price? I'm very interested in Seadoo. So if anybody knows about anything about Seadoo, please let me know? If you can also fill me in on other brand names and their jet skis at a respective price.
Thankyou

dsolie 08-07-2007, 12:53 PM Well, the only craft that will get you decent speeds (mid 60's) with your budgeted price,is the yamaha 1300r. It can be bought for under 10k. the only problem is the open looped cooling, so salt can be a problem. It's also a 2-stroke, so there is a possible reliability problem as well.
The new RXP's by seadoo are a 68-70mph ski. But are 11.5k. You can try to find a dealer that has a new 06 somewhere. Those you can usually grab for 8-9k.
The third musclecraft that has high 60's is the 07 Kawasaki Ultra 250x. But those are closer to 13k+ and are literally, whales.
I suggest trying to find a new, last year model for a sea-doo.

dsolie 08-07-2007, 08:43 PM He can't handle that kind of speed...
checkmate 08-08-2007, 03:02 PM Or those reliability problems, one of the two (LOL Solie...)
The Ultra 250 is amazing in that despite its sheer size and price it handles really really well. Don't judge it by appearances only is what I am trying to say I guess.
You could get a carbureted three seater, say like a Kawasaki STX-R for 5-7k and have just as much fun, enjoy much better reliability than most of the sea-doos and easily hit 60mph. As far as salt water, who cares, fog your engine compartment afterwards and install a flush kit. basic maintenance on any open cooling system will keep it running great.
dsolie 08-08-2007, 08:28 PM Well, Ryell is ALIVE.. Where the hell you been eh?
Don't buy an STX-R.. those things are cheater boats.
checkmate 08-09-2007, 03:33 AM It isn't cheating if he isn't racing... but they are pretty fast, huh? I can't remember the last time your limited ski beat my stock stx-r.
so do you still have a boat solie? call me one of these days to see whats up...
dsolie 08-09-2007, 12:51 PM I could never beat you, because you have always been a superior rider compared to lil' ol' me. Besides, last time I was in front of you, you used my ski and shoulder as a buoy lol.. WSC, 2 years ago.. IN PRACTICE!..
I'll call ya in a few.
