Accessing 3d Engine fault codes

Recently bought 2 off 2005 Sea-doo3d skis(brand new grey imports still in crates)
Both skis P.D.I. / preped and running
After two hours 1 ski showing intermittent fault light.
Light stays on till engine slows / drops under a certain RPM (not flashing) then resets, ski still seems to be running o.k.
Anbody know of a way to down load the info from the E.M.S to check the fault code without having to visit a Sea-doo dealer (I have a list of the relevent fault codes)
Spoke to local dealer and because they are grey imports he didn't want to know.

Take it to another dealer.. Show up, play dumb and have them read the codes off of BUDS.

There is no way for you to access the MPEM without having Seadoo's proprietary BUDS software.

Looks like I've got a long haul then, next closest dealer is 150 miles south.
Anybody else had similar problems and can suggest what to check / what they found wrong?
