I just inherited this '97 GTX that has lived a hard life, but seems to run OK. In my Yamaha I run TCW3 (or something like that). The sticker on the machine (GTX) says don't use that! Use only genuine (naturally) Rotax oil. Problem is, I can't find a local Seadoo dealer to get it! My gut says, oil is oil, some refined a little better, some a different viscosity. Anybody know of an aftermarket brand that I can find at a local Arctic Cat or Polaris shop? (Doesn't seem to be a Yamaha shop to close either...) And, naturally it's 4th of July weekend so mail order isn't an option...

I can't tell you that seadoo oil is the only stuff to run in your seadoo. What I will tell you (without trying to cause a HUGE debate) is that the seadoo stuff is excellent for wear charicteristics and extends the cleanliness of your rave valves. TCW1,2,3 clogs the valves prematurely. (from my humble experience.)

My first choice is MAXIMA Super M Injection Oil... Run's clean and is a real good oil to run...
