Default SeaDoo Oil Pump

The little hoses on my oil pump have disintegrated and the manual says I have to replace the whole oil pump. This looks like a big job (pulling the engine out?) and I was wondering if switching to premix would be easier. I saw some posts asking about where to find a block off kit but didn't see any answers. Is installing the kit any easier than changing the oil pump?
